Notes from author
Dawn was a loyal follower of Great Lord Gwyn during the Age of Fire, though he longed to be just as powerful, if not more. The only way to do this, however, was to work his way up from the bottom. In his early years, he served as a member of the Painting Guardians, protecting the forbidden Painted World of Ariamis. He didn't enjoy his task, often finding himself stuck in the far back corner nearest the painting. It was dull, dreary, and there seemed to be no hope of ranking up, considering how many other of his acquaintances were more than willing to stand still each and every day. There had to be another way...
He decided he would seek out the guidance of other deities, asking questions such as "What can I do to please the Gods?" There weren't many answers for him, as he was often told that protecting the painting was far more than enough help from a mere human. However, that was many years ago... before the fire began to fade.
Several years thereafter, Dawn had taken up a second job after coming to grips that the Great Lord had sacrificed himself to kindle the flame. It was a noble deed, that was for certain, but now that Gwyn had passed on, how would he ever become equals? He recently served a secondary task of being a Blade of the Darkmoon, protecting the honorary tomb of his idol and keeping control over the kingdom.
It wasn't enough.
Years passed by and many souls seemed to learn about the death of Gwyn, not to mention, there were few of people capable of defeating our valiant character. Though he had claimed the lives of quite a few notable venturers, including the ever praised Tarkus. However, if he ever planned to become as strong as Gwyn, there was at least one more person standing in his place... Gwyndolin.
He approached the alter, much to Gwyndolin's dismay, and with quick efficiency from his experience, he had taken down the son of Gwyn. Bearing the Crown of the fallen Gwyndolin, he now reigns over the Kingdom of Lordran.
