Weiss misses the cold of Cainhurst. The chill had an odd comfort to it, as did the crunch of the snow underfoot. But, she couldn’t stay there any longer. The life she had there was stifling to say the least. Her father’s expectations were not something she could fall short of lightly. Lessons were strict and thorough, all in service to mold her into his heir. Steps out of line and failure real or perceived was met with tightening of his control. As if the tarnishing of her family name wasn’t enough. No punishment was too physical, appearances must be kept of course. Her Mother was…not really there. She was and at time be pleasant to be around, but her mother was mostly estranged to her children. Her drunkenness, of both alcohol and pungent blood, made her demeanor withdrawn alongside frenzied outbursts shut down any deeper connection. The fact that her mother did care is what hurts the most for Weiss. Her sister was now a royal guard of Cainhurst, one of their actual knights. While she used to advise Weiss in her combat training. She is usually out on missions by the general. Weiss hopes here love and respect she has for her sister is mutual. Her brother was like her father, the less she thought about him the better. She needed to leave, that was certain. Where she should go took some thought but the idea soon formed. Yharnam, she’d become a hunter, far away from her father’s grip. Klein, bless him for helping her with this as well as acquiring Yharnamite garb, knocked on the stagecoach as he drove through the dreary town littered with graves. They were nearing the City.
