Pontus were born and raised by his abusive mother alone, as his father were already deceased. One fateful night, during a particularly violent beating from his mother, something dark awoke deep within Pontus, and with the tenacity of a beast, he tore his own mother apart. The men and women of their village had always shunned him, calling him a cursed child from the very start, but with fresh blood on his hands, from his mother no less, they had nothing stoping them from giving in to their hate, and began to hunt and pursue the child for days, continuing the hunt until they saw no point to it, and left him far from home, leaving him to perish alone, hungry, cold, and unloved in this cruel world. He did however survive, and continued growing up as an orphan, an outcast of society, creeping into settlements to thieve for food, water and other luxuries, but he started to develop a strong sense and luster for hunting. Pontus hunted his prey akin a beast, tearing and ripping them with his bare hands, and took down larger and larger preys, from rabbits and foxes, to game and wolves, and one day, becoming a self learned hunter of beasts. And so he became renounced as a filthy, disgusting and feared hunter of the outskirts, traveling from village to hamlet, town and back, killing horrific beasts for a bit of coin just the way a wolf thrashes another into submission, which gave him his morbid title. Yet, the more beasts he strangled, tore apart, and formed into bloody pulps, the more he realized that he had sympathy for them, that he too, only wished to bathe in blood and guts, slowly ripping and tearing all life to bloody shreds. But he came in contact with a hunter of the Healing Church, by this strange hunter he were given a gift, a befitting weapon, the Stake Driver, which would make his already profane reputation more grotesque, and the mere thought made his wretched face crack into a malicious smile.
