Vital Stats

End: 37
Arc: 18
Endurance at 37 gives you a good amount of stamina to work with, and the 18 arcane is pretty much for Beast Roar.

Playstyle
---
We know that Papa G uses the Hunter's Axe and Blunderbuss, so use these until you get to half HP, or near half.
As for actual playstyle, be aggressive and fire off the blunderbuss fairly often. A good combo that follows with a shot is:
Running R1 > Transformation Attack > Gunshot
Throw in a jump attack instead of a gunshot if they back off without attacking.
In fact, throw in a jumping attacks and some spin2wins every now and then. Makes it interesting and more like the fight.
-
Once you get past or near half HP, pull out them Beast Claws and get more aggressive. Actually, get aggressive, but be smart about it. The Beast Claws have quick attacks but has poor tracking to balance it. If you find yourself in a sticky situation, beast roar to try and make some distance.
Some good methods of attack:
- Dodge foward when enemy attacks and just let loose with the R1.
- L2 attack is slightly delayed, so may bait opponents. Also moves the player a good distance foward when it goes.
- Jump attacks are an extremely good way to cover distance and land an attack relatively safely
If you wanna stay true to the character, stay only in transformed mode and do roar gesture when someone uses the music box. But only roar once, anymore will make the fight easy.

This build is less practicality and more mean't for enjoyment. I tested it something similar on a different build, but I think I'll make a new character for this.
If you try this out, I hope you enjoy it. Best of luck with the build!
