Raiden was a wandering swords man from the East. He was recruited by a Vileblood scout, promising to teach him the ways of Blood Magic and immortality, so long as he served the Immortal Queen Annalise. The thought of achieving immortality was enticing to Raiden, that meant he could practice his swordsman ship for all of eternity, until he became the worlds greatest blade master. He served under the Queen of Blood and quickly ascended the ranks through his feats and offerings. The Queen sent her beloved Raiden on a journey to a far off land. Upon his arrival, Raiden discovered it was the night of a hunt. In order to make it back to his queen, he partook in the Paleblood transfusion, gaining a little Yharnam blood of his own. His memory was hazy upon waking up in the dream, but he had a residual force of will driving him to carry forward. Little by little he was gaining back his memory. The Rifle Spear reminded him of a weapon from Cainurst, and it was finally clear when he opened the Cainhurst summons that it was his time to return. What Raiden returned to was not the once proud and magnificent Castle Cainhurst, now it was overrun by Wraiths, Gargoyles, unholy creatures, and blood starved knights. Raiden cut his way through the hordes of enemies, the final obstacle standing before him was the Martyr Logarius, acting as a buffer between him and the throne room. Logarius fell to Raidens blade and he freed the Queen from her illusory prison. Upon kneeling, she explained the entire raid of the Executioners during his leave, and put large emphasis on how they were the last two Vilebloods in existence. In order to atone for not being able to help during the battle, Raiden now watches over the Forsaken Castle, stopping all enemies who intend on trespassing and meddling with the Queen. With the Blood Dregs he offers her, she will eventually give birth to the heir of blood. Perhaps, with Raiden by her side as a king.
