This build can be effective by SL20, witch every piece except the ring of favor and protection and black flame being available before gargoyles, with the aid of a master key.
Black flame can be substituted for combustion and great combustion before DLC content, and FaP can be substituted for Havels ring before Anor Londo. With this setup I've killed many SL100+ players, with a bit of care.
You run, you get caught and die, you try to go toe to toe and you'll get blown the fuck up, keep at a distance, and use your speed, reach and sheer damage potential to win. Parry and Backstab if you get the opportunity, but generally if you get to do this, then you fucked up in the first place by letting them get too close.
The occult BSS is purely for RP value, it still does great damage but is far outclassed by +15 with DMB or Chaos+5. But this build is not about overpowering your enemy, it's about being fancy and getting gud.
