Want to use a somewhat niche weapon with some decent wins attached to it? Why not try the Pike build?
The Pike: one of the under appreciated weapons in the game. Needing 24 STR, it seems like a waste versus using the Zwei and others, but people underestimate the reach distance of this beauty. Want to poke enemies out of range? Use the Pike. Want to stop enemies from using magic from a distance? Use the Pike. Want to kick some invading twat's arse? ...well, you're probably better off using something else, but still, try the Pike!
You're armed and ready with this build. Easy to make, you have the Poise for going gung-ho against enemies, and with the Leo Ring at your side, aim with the enemy attack to strike extra damage to them.
I recommend this build for co-op. You won't get in the way of others, and your thrusts will work well with crowded areas. Use this build for co-op in the Undead Burg and Church area. Also great for that pus infested Blighttown and Depths area too. Be sure you carry some Alluring Skulls so that you can wrangle those crusty handed undeads together so that you can Black Firebomb them or just plain stab them at once with your handy Pike.
Now that players are savvy and look for unique approaches, give this build a chance and give the Pike a chance. You won't regret it!
