In an epic confrontation against giant demon covered in demonic flames, Puria gained access to a miracle in which only Gwyn has been able to use, a lightning spear made of sunlight. With one shot, she blasted the demon into pieces, and found in it's ashes found a peculiar cinder. Thinking it to be the Rite of Kindling, she returned with the rest of the Endless Faith back to the church with a great smile upon her face, not only with what they quested in their possession, but a new mircale to smite those who needed to be smitten. When she arrived at the church and gave it to the Church's higher ups, they were furious. What they found was not the Rite of Kindling, but a Chaos Fire Ember, used by certain blacksmiths. The church believed Puria was trying to ridicule them and banished her from the church, stripping her of her rank and possessions, all but the clothes on her back remained. So she traveled forth, decimated by this incident, only seeking redemption. She was about to cast herselfoff a cliff in her depression when Luminia, Queen Goddess of Light called to her from the cliff and told her to find an altar to sunlight. With a new purpose, Puria set off and found the altar, and at it was a chest with a silver and white armor set, along with a claymore embued with divine magics and a Sunlight Talisman, a talisman that allowed to to once again use her mighty miracles. Luminia told her that the world needed her to be a force of light and to brighten it so that darkness would cower away, and gave her the name the Holy Storm as a testament to her mighty lightning spears. Now Puria watches Lordran as a Knightess of Sunlight, protecting it from the dark evil that wishes to consume it.
