Fairly basic stuff. The Avelyn is AMAZING in PVP when used properly (to interrupt actions such as; spells, miracles, pyromancies, healings, even attacks; of if both of you are at very low health this can finish them off). Remember to save iron flesh for other strength builds, as it will maximize your defense, but against dex/caster builds, don't use it as you will become slow, easy pickings for their fast dartings.
And if you don't want to get parried, DON\\"T SPAM R1! Even better is to get close, bait the parry and then backstab them :) have fun!
