This demonic buddy has the most insanity-inducing combonation of armaments that I have devised. A powerful 70 poise is paired with one of the best weapons in the game, the Abyss Greatsword. It is a chaos weapon without the fire split damage, meaning it essentially does more damage than it should. Two handed it's moveset is pretty damn good, but the madness sets in when talking about it's castings. The Abyssal Guardian's got two iterations of Homing Crystal Soulmass and Dark Bead: two of the most powerful spells with reasonable requirements in the game. That means NG+ (Hint: Gwyn's a pushover considering you can use your 1 handed moveset too) and of course Great Soul Arrow for long range encounters. You can really put pressure onto people with this guy, from rushing them with a Homing Crystal Soulmass and Dark Bead them in the face to almost ripping them in half with your Abyss Greatsword.
