Notes from author
This is a mage that does NOT utilize the Crown of Dusk OR the Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring OR the Tin Crystallization Catalyst.
Because why not.
Your spear does a decent amount of damage, but nothing to get really hyped about.
Now. I'm a sucker for the SKSS. It was the weapon that got me through my first play through, even though it has crappy scaling, weird stat requirements and weighs a TON for an ordinary straight sword. But you can't argue with that moveset and insane base damage. So basically you can sub any other buffable weapon that weighs in less instead of it if you want, and change the stats accordingly. Remix at your own peril.
In retrospect, two dark beads sounds like overkill, so you can sub one out for chameleon if you want to be sneaky, or pursuers if you want the blood to never stop flowing, homing crystal soulmass or whatever spell piques your interests.
Due to the crazy weight of the SKSS, armor options are very limited, even with the Father Mask (the best looking mask in the game). I personally really like the look of the Chain Armor chestpiece, and the legs and arms are all that your character will be able to equip without Havel's. With the Wolf ring, you will end up with more poise that if you used an alternate armorset with Havel's ring (still checking this fact). However, a Havel's ring set will doubtlessly have more defences, which is what I think the main problem with this build is: Low defence
Since your fastroll does not hinge on the second ring slot, you can feasibly put whatever ring you want in there, whether its a Hornet, Leo, Bellowing dragoncrest, Lingering dragoncrest, Slumbering dragoncrest or what have you. I just put Wolf cuz I suck and get hit all the time. Im currently doing tests with a DWGR instead of a Wolf ring, the results so far have been very hit-or-miss.
Anyway, I'm running out of characters, and even if you thought my insane ramblings were the stupidest things you've ever read, thanks for reading.
