Not many Dark Souls players know, but originally FromSoft wanted to make a rival out of Oscar. (Something like Red in Pokemon, which you encountered more times throughout the game.)

As for the wiki:
Oscar drops 2000 souls, this build drops 1985.
Oscar uses Elite gear +6, Astora sword +8 and Crest shield +5. So you can only go that far.
Oscar has 797 hp, this build has 793.
Oscar fatrolls. And u can two-hand the sword if u like.
OSCAR DOESN\\"T HEAL! (even if the host (and summon(s)) do(es), I know, it's hard) (Bracket overload!)
I added the rings to make him a little bit harder, but stay true to the real Oscar, you may remove them if u like.
Best used in the depths or before. You can also co-op with this build of course. It is likely so that Oscar was in the Way of White, I think, so that will give you more summon traffic early on.
