Concept of the build was by Jerp [JerpDoesGames]
I decided to modify it with 35 intelligence in order to use the Moonlight Spear and Great Sword.
Equipment Description:
- Havel Greatshield: Provides 90% magic reduction damage while blocking. A must have against casters and buffs. The L2 buff also increases poise for a small duration. [cannot be stacked with green blossoms]
- Black Knight Shield: Parry option and 95% reduction with fire. Helps deal with pyromancy [Note: Black Flame can still be a problem if stamina is low, advice to switch to havels for more stability]
Moonlight Spear: Long range, defensive weapon [pokes behind a shield], magic chip damage.
Moonlight Greatsword: Nice Trading weapon, strong R2 range option which can dead angle.
Blood Bite Ring: Build cannot bleed dodge, bleed weapons are a main concern, therefore this helps put pressure off you. I always keep red moss with me just in case.
Note:
In my opinion from playing this build, weapon and ring swapping play a massive role during fights and encounters. Proper reaction and response can make or break a fight and thus; I will list weapons and rings that I use to swap out of regularly.
Stone Great Sword: The TWoP is amazing, puts pressure off you as most people will back away, allowing room to breath, re-thinking, switching items or to actually perform a counter attack. A nice combo is TWOP to spear or R2 on the moonlight.
Golem Axe: Wide swings, range attack option, can stunlock. Useful utility.
Butchers Knife: R2 provides a nice running attack, compliments the lack of movement that this build can have.
Heavy Crossbow: Quick Release Range Option.
Rings:
Blood Bite Ring
Cloranthy: For when not vsing bleeding weapons.
Red Tearstone: When low on HP. Clutch ring.
Items:
The hot bar lists a mix between defensive and offensive items. In my menu I have Repair Powder, Poison Moss and Humanity as the first 3 items listed to quickly choose.
