Notes from author
Hey, thanks for checking out the build!
My main focus for this was to try out the intelligence road, as well as provide some versatility to it.
So this is my way of running the MLG (Moonlight Greatsword) along with assorted spells.
I wanted to focus on being able to fight up-close with the MLG, and less so on spamming spells. Because of this, I use the Tin Crystalization, and try to use the spells only when the moment demands it.
I also am using the crown of dusk- as to make up for the lack of a bellowing dragoncrest ring.
I'm not using the ring because, as mentioned before, I wanted to focus on being up close, and that demands some poise.
To make up for the added weakness to magic, I'm using the crest shield, as apposed to the grass crest.
This is a solid build -for- the MLG, but I didn't want to stop it there.
I kept the stats in a balanced manor, so you can sub in some weapons of choice (Claymore, Rapier, Longsword..) and either use enchanted+5/magic+10 or +15reg with CMW (Crystal Magic Weapon)
I would typically go with enchanted +5 (For when you're out of CMW), since there's a lot of magic resistance out there.
Here's some notable weapons to use with this build:
Longsword
Balder Swag Sword
Claymore
Flamberge
Zweihander (If you're into that kind of thing...)
Shotel
Uchigatana
Washing Pole
Rapier (Can swap for hornet ring, if you want to go for the massive buffed crits)
Estoc
Velka's Rapier
Channeler's Trident
Moonlight Butterfly Horn (Leo ring can be subbed in for these two.)
Halberd
Great Scythe
Ascended Pyro Flame +5 (Power within, if you want.)
(Note: On lighter weapons, I switch to using balder gauntlets, and on heavier weapons that need to be wielded with both hands, I swap to grass crest shield.)
I highly recommend using Logan's catalyst for buffing, and you may even want two slots for CMW (if you're hosting).
That about sums up my thoughts on this build, if you have anything to say, drop a comment.
Thanks!
