Notes from author
Remade the Mugen for my main build as there was a slight error in the old one. Plus, I can now write a long-winded description for nobody to read.
I mainly use Claymore, but I also switch to Longsword, Estoc, Chaos Blade, Great Scythe, Scythe, Halberd, Gargoyle Tail Axe (for people just having fun), Shotel (for turtles) and the Silver Knight Spear (for spear users/assholes).
Q+A:
Q: Why aren't you using [insert minmaxed armour combo here] instead?
A: I love how this combo looks, and it gives my preferred poise level with good defence.
Q: Why do you aim for 36 poise instead of something higher?
A: I just don't like playing with high poise if I'm also fastrolling. I can toggle pretty reliably anyway, so it seems unnecessary.
Q: Aren't the Furysword and Pyro Glove in the wrong slots?
A: Nope. I find it much easier to toggle escape with left on the D-pad, so having a Pyro Glove in my offhand would make toggle-parrying much more difficult for me. Also, I like dual wielding at some points.
Q: That's dumb.
A: That's not a question.
Q: Why Great Chaos Fireball? You could have more casts if you used two stacks of Great Fireball instead.
A: Personal preference. GCF has a much larger range, Great Fireball is thus much harder to land. The residual damage and stun of GCF also make it better for combos. 4 Fireballs is enough for me anyway as I refresh my casts between fights.
Q: Why Great Combustion AND Black Flame? Isn't that excessive? Do you spam it u fkin scrub I bet u do m8
A: No on both counts, I use them for different things. Black Flame is better for breaking guards and stunning people with higher poise, Great Combustion does more damage so I use it for wakeups and combos.
Q: Does all this mean you expect me to make this build identical to yours if I make it?
A: No, this section is just to explain why I use what I use. Treat this as a template if you're making a version yourself.
