Optional buff with gold pine resin (it doesn't take that long to farm with plenty of homeward bones). Power within if you want to be hyper aggressive and frowned upon for being too buffy. High enough poise to take a two-handed hit from a great weapon. Massive hp which you can trade for more attunement if you prefer. Leave the dex at 40 as 45 makes almost no difference. You should be able to trade hits dealing massive damage and outlasting your typical opponent i.e. a good build for those like me lacking pvp skills. you can swap the scythe for any other dex weapon you prefer, but lets face facts, Great Scythe is the best :P
