Notes from author
The Abyss Cleric is the spell caster that isn't useless after the casts are depleted, fights well in close quarters as well as long range.
This is what I'd wear if the character was a female, I'd change to Sage Robe if it was a male, yes it makes a difference, lol. (Sage robe for higher physical defense, Witch robe for high magical defense, good since Crown of Dusk hits that area)
Feel free to change around the weapons, as long as it fits the stat requirements, I'd recommend using the Enchanted path, because if you rely on buffing it yourself then you invite yourself to be weaker than crap without the buff.
Here are the extra's that I will keep on hand any time while playing.
EXTRA ITEMS:
Moonlight Greatsword +5 (keep an extra if you use the R2 alot)
Enchanted Claymore +5
Enchanted Halberd/Lucerne +5 (preference)
Wolf Ring (75 poise, anyone?)
Sanctus
Tin Crystal Catalyst (not for all the time, it will eat your already few casts away)
The Claymore is good because it has a wonderful move set, like MLGS but it does more damage, a great choice to switch if your MLGS is running out of juice and you're in too much heat too repair it.
Lucerne/Halberd will be your longer ranged weapon, they're very good.
Wolf Ring.. don't gotta explain this one, switch Bellowing to this if you run out of casts, OR just feel like doing some melee
Sanctus.. too obvious, but, don't keep it on all the time, Crest Shield is there for it's high magic reduction, since you'll be wearing crown of dusk.
This build should be fairly easily understood.
It's a good melee fighting build with magic and faith spicing up it's abilities, for more utility.
The armor shouldn't be changed around, as the hands and leg armors have the best poise for weight ratio, and no one likes not having poise.
