Poise is high enough to tank a 1-handed or 2-handed attack. I picked armour with high slash defence to counter the damage dealt.
I also have the Leo ring to hit for high damage when he swings so make sure to try and tank hits. The crown of dusk increases the wrath of the gods damage to make it extremely effective. It also looks boss and has average magic defence.
