//A unique twist on the oft-used, much-lamented flip build//
Everyone's always talking about metas. Bleh. However, one thing I've pondered recently is that you rarely see builds with low HP, and if you do, it's likely a gimmick build that aims to make up for its HP deficit with ridiculous damage. Even some of the best Dark Souls players are far too reliant on eating hits. I created this fully-optimized 1000 HP build to help me practice playing without an HP buffer; to hone my ability to be truly elusive. I thought that perhaps some others may be interested in such a build, so here it is.
- "Damn, why so much END!? Why not pump some into VIT instead...?" Because the point is to have low HP. Get your brain out of the meta, bro.
- The armors selected give arguably the best stats at the SL 125 range. Not to mention 53 poise, which allows you to eat most hits (I know I said the point of this build is not to eat hits, but it can't be helped sometimes) without worrying about toggling. Although the ability to toggle consistently is generally indicative of skilled players, this build aims to focus on the core mechanic of evading attacks instead
- FaP for stamina.
- DWGR is a must. The added invincibility frames are integral to preserving your limited HP. Swap rings depending on the scenario, if you feel so inclined.
- Leather Shield because it's awesome.
- Short Bow for arena control and poison.
- Swap out the Claymore for whichever other DEX/quality weapon you'd like, as long as it weighs 6 units or less. 16 STR is fine for most. If you're left with extra equipment burden, swap the Short Bow for the Composite Bow, and/or the Leather Shield for a different shield.
- Black Flame because... you know why. Use a different pyro if you prefer it, I guess.
- The standard 5 hot bar items. Humanity and red/blooming moss should be easily accessible.
- Firebombs and knives for more arena control/poison.
Strategy: Don't get hit.
