Like the other Endurance Gouges, this build combines 50 Vitality with insanely high defense and poise.
The Gravelord Sword is a devastating weapon, even when you just have its 2h moveset. It also makes for a decent shield, as it has 60% physical damage reduction, and that combined with your super high physical defense will mean you'll mitigate damage surprisingly well. The key with this build is to apply close range pressure, offlock your r1s, and apply stun to bs tactics. Remember, the bs can only happen as soon as the opponent's stun animation ends and their roll animation begins. When the opponent has been infected by the toxic, keep the pressure on them, but play carefully. Many times the opponent will try to back off and purple blossom, and this is a perfect opportunity to hit them with a WD R1. Against higher level opponents, apply the close range pressure, but be wary of bs attempts. Play offlocked for best results so as to immediately direct your r1 to your side and catch the bs attempt.
Don't be afraid to throw out the Gravelord's Swords 2h R2 occasionally, as it has pretty good range and it does a whooping 74 poise damage.
