The purpose of this build is to maximize the damage you could do using the Darkmoon blade buff and the claymore.
If you use the Darkmoon talisman with 40 faith the Darkmoon blade buff will add 401 damage to the +15 claymore bringing the damage well over 800. Because the claymore scales with both strength and dexterity it gets the best scaling bonus if you leave both stats at 28. The 40 faith is so you can effectively use the darkmoon talisman for maximum damage. You could also add 5 to vitality if you feel youre too weak.
