Notes from author
I made a few stupid stat related mistakes with the first version, this is the improved version.
-----------------------
An experimental build I'm eager to try out. As always feedback is appreciated.
Note: This is a Darkmoon build, so if you use it you'll be invading other worlds as a Spirit of Vengeance. I suppose you could play a Darkwraith with only a few minor adjustments, but the name of the build speaks for itself.
This build is used to it's fullest potential by players who know how to use Fire Tempest and Toxic mist to use the environment around them to their advantage. For example: Toxic Mist makes for a great delaying tactic in narrow corridors, allowing some distance to made between you and the opponent, which is especially important for bow wielding builds such as this one.
I prefer to use poison arrows on my bows, but it's all down to player preference.
I chose the DWG ring because it makes it easier to evade attacks and get around opponents, which I think is important for this build, since you need to be able to land quick shots with the comp bow without getting your skull split open by a Zweihander.
The Wolf ring will help prevent you from getting your shots interrupted by smaller weapons, but obviously it's not going to help much against a hit from something like a Great Club.
I chose the Uchigatana as my backup weapon not only for it's good Dex scaling, but also for it's ability to bleed opponents, which is often useful against shield turtles. Plus if you buff it with RP Resin, you'll be dealing bleed AND poison build up, which may cause some players to panic and attempt to flee, allowing you to engage them with the comp bow.
I always equip poison throwing knifes on my builds, but they're not essential. I just think they're fun to be honest. The Lloyd's talismans are pretty important, however. As this build isn't optimized for quick and aggressive kills, your opponent will most likely have time to heal if you let them.
