Flamberge for its stun-lock potential.
The offhand Uchigatana can be switched up to numerous other weapons, depending on your opponent's Poise and weapons. It's great for fast, damaging strikes on low Poise targets and for a quick parry. Substitutes include, but are not limited to - Rapier, Falchion, or Longsword.
*Pyromancy Explanations*
Fire Surge - Great for circling backstabbers or to poke at turtles. Also great for making them press a button before you do.
EXAMPLE: Rolling in a specific direction and then casting a fireball in that direction.
Great Chaos Fireball - Highest damaging fireball with a huge Area-of-Effect and great crowd control and stun-lock potential.
EXAMPLE: Casting Great Chaos Fireball on a low poise target and following up with your Flamberge, Black Flame, in case they are high poise, or an arrow from the Composite Bow.
