Tried to mimic the armor the best I could. The iron round shield acts as your "shell" while you're two handing your weapon, but the strength is there should you want to be able to defend yourself with your shield. You can also take points out of strength and invade at lower levels if you have no intention of ever using your shield.
Also, somewhat unrelated, but it's worth mentioning that the Turtle Knight armor bears simillarities to the Fluted set that clash with shells and helmets. Maybe the armor was modified to have the shell at some point?
