Invaded this yesterday. A mid-rolling 2500-ish HP hacker who popped six divines before pulling out his ?weaponname? and two-shotting me after his also-hacking friend got raped by the forest NPCs. Yes, a hacker with modded HP and divines got the smackdown from the AI.
I messaged this guy afterwards for the lulz of it. 30,000+ gamerscore, a Call of Duty Ghosts avatar...and jesus, his name is SKULL KING in full caps. If that doesn't make you shed hot tears for this generation's future... :L
Among other choice statements, I was told in his voice replies...
"Fuck you faggot, I used to be a pro player but then I.. (breaks off to stutter) something happened and I started modding. So fuck you."
Yes, he said, quote, "I used to be a pro player and then something happened and I started modding, so fuck you."
AND HE SENT THIS TO ME
AND HE WAS SERIOUS
"Fuck you, I'm not coming to your stream. I b-b-bet all your fuggin' v-viewers are fags with no lives HA." (I had a livestream with over a dozen live viewers going and wanted him to drop by.)
"I don't fucking care. Jesus you're annoying so j-just s-s-s-stop m-messaging me fucking kid. Leave me the fuck alone." (after I stopped toying with him and sent him several voice messages picking apart his childish logic and told him he had an audience.)
Jackasses like this are why I'm very strongly considering ditching high level PvP alltogether. I'm proud of my ability to put together/rip off insanely OP builds with which I can more than comfortably demolish most legitimate gank squads, but when LITERALLY one in three hosts are either modders or have a modding phantom...I just can't take the stress anymore. Hackers are just as idiotic as they used to be but unless they're using ancient save editors, they can't be bled out anymore and most of them are terrified of ledges and stay faaaar away from you if you park by one.
At least the low levels are mostly hacker free.
What's everyone else's take? ;-;
