I'm still very new at PvP despite having played PvE for a while, but this is more of an experiment than anything. I'm not very serious about PvP, but rather, I decided to make a fun build that isn't too serious. Just something I can mess with on occasion, and just challenge invaders.
WotG won't be spammed relentlessly. No. It'll be a surprise. One trick would be to use Great Combustion and Fire Surge to lure them closer to me, and to lure them into a false sense of security. If I feel especially ballsy, I'll switch to WotG, then 'try' to use Pyromancy even further, with the character going "lolwut", and then quickly switch to Velka's Talisman and catch them off guard. A lot of people know how to dodge it, yes, but hopefully their guard will be dropped enough so that it caught them by surprise. For the most part, I'll rely on Homing Crystal Soulmass and then quickly switch to Pyromancy as soon as they get close enough to roast them for decent damage. Another trick would be to spam Homing Crystals, then switch to Crystal Soul Spear, and trick them into thinking I'm still using the Crystals. I've seen it work before. The only downside of this build is that if I run out of charges, and my opponent is still standing, I'm pretty much boned.
A different way of using this build would be to switch out the Talisman and WotG for a +15 Uchigatana and then enchant it with magic. Just a thought. This build relies a lot on running and evading, and partially on luck, too, as there will be plenty of times where you'll be across the room, but will still get Greatsword-sniped due to lag.
Seems like a decent build, considering I'm still so noobish at PvP.
