This build is focus more on aesthetics than functionality, however, a riposte of this build will leave your opponent suddenly having a bad day.
Despite having a lower critical rating than, say, the bandit knife, piercing swords have a hidden bonus to ripostes and the rapier ends up hitting hardest with a riposte. That combined with the hornet ring = ow.
This build requires a good bit of skill with rolling and parrying to use effectively but is very fun use.
