The main thing about this build is to use the leo ring with the war pick and still be able to use many different quality weapons. The other two weapons both use thrusting attacks and are just generally useful.
A good alternative to a rapier would be a mail breaker seeing as its only for that little bit of damage to finish someone off, this way you could free up SLs for some more vitality or something if you cant handle <1500hp.
