Proper Dead-angling is necessary to use this build in pvp.
Great Combustion is for a finisher when you run out of stamina with your opponent barely alive.
Black Flame is to punish turtles. You don't need it at all if you can dead-angle.
Chaos Storm was chosen for thematic purposes. You can use it as a wake up or to punish slow castings ( I killed someone casting TWoP early using it).
Armor is mostly aesthetic. I wanted 61 poise. There were better way to achieve that. The Mask of the Mother actually looks good on this set, but can be replaced easily if you don't like it.
