Acid Surge is meant to mimic Power Break and Armor Break. For the sake of roleplay, it is best to avoid healing except by Estus and avoid summoning. Low stamina is meant to mimic a mediocre Evasion stat, which also lends itself to turn-based combat. Avoiding combat in the dark part of the Tomb of the Giants is recommended.
