My third character out the of four in the Dragon Quest 8 game.
Yangus is the brute and carries the heavies artillery on the battlefield. He's also the tank of the group.
Best strength weapon by far is the Demon's great Axe; it also looks similarly to the Conqueror's axe IMO. The other Sythe looks like the Bardiche of Binding and it's a good backup.
Pyromancy flame w/Chaos Storm is optional but It's kind of the "ultimate spell" in Dark Souls and the Ultimate spell in DQ8 for Yangus is his 100 Scythe "Big Banga". Spell still remains optional.
for equipment the Crystalline Helm isn't green but it'll do. Brigade armor is pretty good and it more or less looks the same as I want.
Smough's Leggings are pretty good; the add some poise to the build and they make the him look fat, so that's nice.
For rings I went with the Wolf Ring for more poise so that you won't get interrupted while swinging the axe and I also went with the FaP Ring for the overall stat bonuses.
That sums up Yangus pretty good.
