I owe credit with this build to Implosay as it is built off of his build as a template (Strength build with 50 faith). I don't like the Demon Great Machete as I am very poor at using it's move sets, I need something that covers a bigger area. With the Strength build I was constantly just using the Hand Axe as even with a weapon of 1000+ damage I could hit absolutely nothing. You do take a loss of around 200 damage, but hey, an AR of 900 isn't anything I'd cry too much about.
Obviously you could tweak this build a bit and make the sword hit harder, perhaps drop some attunement slots or you can take away 2 endurance and still have a medium roll, I have it at 44 so when I don't have my darkmoon blade spell anymore I can put on the Mask of the child, take that, eat some Green Blossom and you've come probably as close as you ever will to unlimited stamina. (I'm a stamina fiend).
