The gargoyles are weakest to fire, so I thought that using LOTS of fire damage would obviously be the most beneficial. A side note is that Quelaag's Fury Sword swings considerably fast (probably because it is a curved sword) and deals alot of fire damage, Charcoal Pine Resin hardly adds any fire damage anyways. And the Composite Bow is made to deal ALOT of fire damage and can shoot considerably fast. The Gargoyles also deal a little fire damage so just to be safe, I decided to equip Black Knight Shield for the amazing fire damage reduction it has. If anyone is wondering, the Dragon Head Stone can make you breathe fire and can deal more damage through higher ranking in the Path of the Dragon covenant. As for the armor, I decided to go for LOTS of physical defense instead of poise. I also have a decent amount of fire defense (this is for Gargoyles Boss Fight in Undead Parish) so their fire breathing attack is even less of a problem (really though all you have to do is block with the Black Knight Shield or even Dragon Crest Shield). Finally, I decided to go for Soul Level 20, since that is I think in the range for summoning in Undead Parish, and if not, then change it to 15 for more summoning. I really hope there are still new players to summon, seriously I think there just aren't anymore new players playing Dark Souls, everyone is off playing Dark Souls 2, that is where you will find new players to summon and/or get summoned by!!!
