Bastard Sword cuz it's cooler than the Claymore.
Secondary weapon can be anything that still allows fast roll with the primary in hand.
Change order to move a spear of your liking near the Bastard Sword in menu so you can switch quickly if you feel you need the range advantage. Just don't use something that looks dumb on you. Like Demon's Spear or Channeler's.
Chaos infusions are preferable for dexterity secondary weapons. I prefer to use Chaos Uchi or Chaos Rapier.
