Notes from author
This is my take on a Marvelous Chester cosplay, centered around SL 125 PvP. Just a few notes on utilizing this build:
1) This build sucks. Obviously. Your focus should be on having fun with it and behaving as much like the NPC as you can. However, with enough practice I'm sure anyone could become skilled enough to win with this.
2) Chester doesn't actually use a Caestus, as I'm sure you've noticed. The reason I chose this was because you need some small way of replicating his roundhouse kick. I mean, sure, you can kick opponents to stagger (and you should) but it won't damage them. The Caestus is to ensure you have a close-range damage option without breaking canon too much. This is purely physical, of course, 'cos Chester ain't no casual.
3) I'm rolling the RoFaP and RoSP, partly because of the nature of this build and its necessity for higher HP/protection, and partly because Chester appears to have no status effects, and these rings don't give you such an aura. Also the Sniper Crossbow is heavy, yo.
4) Finally, for some inexplicable reason Chester manages to let off bolts from his crossbow semi-automatically. You know, I may take back what I said about his not using magic, cause that's some sorcery right there. Anyway, for obvious reasons you can't do that as the player, so to simulate that you may choose to roll with the Avelyn, as well. This is, however, definitely not canon, but from far away it may give the impression that you're just doing what Chester normally does. Be aware that to light roll with the Avelyn offhand, you will need Havel's ring as well. Sigh.
So there you have it, I really hope you enjoy looking this over and will hopefully try it out. Please leave any of your comments or questions below, and I look forward to seeing you Marvelous Chesters out there!
