A hybrid between melee and faith based casting. Even with low health and equip capacity, it is lightning fast and has a phenomenal amount of defense in the low level areas, especially if you substitute Ornstein's armor for the Silver Knight Set +5 (Ornstein's just has more Fashion Souls).
It's level is low enough to Co-Op with new players from Undead Parish.to Blighttown, possibly higher, if the matchmaker allows it.
It's essentially an Anti-Twink, a late game player built specifically to assist new players while repelling Darkwraith invaders: RotEE and Sanctus means a respectable level of health regen to offset the low health, while also keeping yourself sustained so the host can conserve estus in the long haul. Powerhouse AoEs allow you to clear large groups of enemies at a time, warding off the spammy swarms prevalent early in the game. And, should you encounter a low level griefer, as you may, just power up Great Magic Barrier and switch your ring to the Sun's Firstborn. With late game gear and nearly every offensive miracle in the game, especially when paired with a host able to melee, Twinks will often find overwhelming pressure to flee or charge, either way good between the armor, SLSS, and long range lightning bolts.
Sun's Firstborn paired with Replenishment is also fantastic for boss fights, just set your health to regenerate before the fight, step through, and nuke him from a range, using the SLSS to melee when you run out of spells or need to get him off the host.
It's equal parts cheap and efficient, so not for everyone. but it almost always clears the level without incident, great if you want your host to have a calm, painless time crossing the dungeon. It's also good as a low level faith build able to PvP or PvE with a surprisingly high level of versatility if you put your mind to it.
