The main usage for Wrath of the Gods is to keep people off you by cancelling the spell then either BSing the opponent or do a full Wrath of the Gods. Dark bead is good for punishing people doing running attacks way to much (Claymore running R1 for example).
Homing crystal Soulmass is good for keeping people at a range when you need to use a grass or another consumable. The armor set up is for max defense well looking good and being a fast tank. Dark hand is mainly for parries and blocking a pyromancy or a miracle in a OH SHIT moment. This build is not made for doing 700 damage on a Wrath of the gods or 1800 on a soul spear.
