This Darkwraith is a pestilence. S/he repeatedly plagues the Undead Perish, following no etiquette and bound by misanthropy to the destruction of others. Plagued by perfectionism, his/her attack style is relentless, combining critical strikes with the Chaos Hand Axe and bursts of powerful pyromancy able to break many of his/her opponents' guard. While ironically weak to magic, good luck trying to hit this Darkwraith.

It is a good idea to carry a Lightning Hand Axe as well. Make sure to have all gestures and carvings on you. The Wolf Ring can be swapped for Hornet Ring, the Ring of Steel Protection or the Dark Moon Seance Ring by more skilled players who do not need the poise and the Crown of Dusk can be swapped for the Gold Hemmed Black Hood at the cost of the Grass Crest Shield or perhaps swapped with the Mask of the Child or Father (latter allowing the player to have a wider selection of small shields or a dagger, useful if the Hornet Ring is being used).

This is a pretty decent SL1 Darkwraith, though I could do better. If connections were perfect, the Wolf Ring would not be part of this build and the Hornet Ring would take front stage. They aren't though. Anyways, it came into existence as I wanted a competent build that could be legitimately SL1 without any sort of cheating involved. Though I would most likely remove the Crown of Dusk and find a better piece of lightweight headgear such as any of the three masks or any hood/hat that provides a boost in defense/resistance without going over the weight limit, this build is specific to what I was using exactly at the time.
