Notes from author
Here's my take on Geralt of Rivia from Witcher.
Why falchion? Doesn't Geralt use a straight sword kept on his back? It's true, but that would mean claymore or something similar, and greatswords are sooo slow. Falchion is one of the fastest weapons, considerably faster than e.g. longsword or BSS. Its speed and fancy moveset match Geralt's unique skills well. Additionally, best moves of longsword and BSS are thrusts. If you read novels, there are plenty of combat descriptions, but I don't remember a single one when Geralt injured or killed someone with a thrust. It's always a slash.
Geralt doesn't use shields, so I added parrying dagger instead. Wouldn't it be cool to be able to parry when two-handling a weapon?
Signs: Emit Force perfectly matches Aard, and fireballs can be used as Igni. Other pyromancies may match Igni better, but combustions are kind of redundant for a falchion user (they accomplish the same goal - high DPS in short range), and others are less useful. Emit Force and Great Fireball are nice complement to the main weapon as they allow ranged combat. Other signs are less combat oriented, and do not have good equivalents in DS, so I decided to skip them.
Power Within is here to simulate fighting ability enhancing herbs/potions/whatever, used by Geralt on a few occasions. Maybe that's only my imagination but I think novels suggest that they are very bad for health (they change appearance significantly), so PW seems to be a good match.
DWGR because Geralt is very agile, and armor just for look.
