for new players, an early and somewhat easy build. you can get it done once you reach the bottom of blighttown(i hope you have masterkey), buying the uchigatana from shiva after you join the forest hunters; the repair and catalyst are from dusk, whom you free from a golden crystal golem, and they are here because:
1) catalyst doesn't scale, it is good from the get-go(it's a dex build, you won't be focusing on leveling int);
2) katanas have horrible durability;
also, magic weapon only needs 10 int, but the catalyst needs 13 and repair 14. the 15 int is for great magic weapon, which you'll get in Anor Londo; ring choice is up to you, get whatever you feel like.
Overall, i think of this as a way for beginners to topple the early challenges the game throws at them and make their own dex build.
*as how i chose to continue it, I leveled dex to 40, vitality to 25, endurance to 30, got attunement for another slot and got a pyro flame and power within, as well as lingering dragoncrest ring and chloranthy(i do not recommend this for beginners. get higher health and no power within).
