A little cosplay build I've been having fun with in the forest. I messed up the stats so I let cat-bros invade me. In order to get everything and have Sif alive for forest invasions, I had to go into NG+.
Only requires Twinkling Titanite for upgrades, so you can fully upgrade all weapons and armor at the blacksmith in Anor Londo.
Can use any of the black knight weapons, but I recommend sticking with the Halberd, Great Ax, or Ultra-Great Sword. You can go for the Great Sword, but It's move set and damage is pretty lackluster.
The Great Axe and Ultra-Great Sword 2-handed strong attacks can change directions after the attack has been initiated. This has led to some pretty satisfying BS denies. However, it will be heavily punished by experienced pvp-ers.
Don't bother with any of the 1 handed strong attacks.
Halbred has the fastest move set and is the most Meta. Great for chasing down mages. The rolling attack is a sweep with nice range, but is often avoided. Best choice against buffed dex users.
Ultra-Great Sword has the best dead-angles and range, but is by far the slowest. The rolling attack is a thrust with excellent range that can often catch opponents off guard if you can aim it well. Good against strength weapons/Heavy armored opponents. Beware of parry spammers.
Great Ax is kind of the middle ground. It is the fastest Great Ax and has lower lower damage than it's AR would indicate. The 2 handed move set is very vertical, but hard hitting. The 1 handed move set has a sweeping weak attack with decent speed. Probably the best choice if you want to work on your parries. Beware of parry spammers.
I have had trouble against Great-sword users, since this build only has 50 poise.
I have also had some success switching weapons mid combat.
The build does have pretty low stamina regen, so make sure you stock up on Green Blossoms.
