This is my personal low SL coop build, its themed somewhat as a faith heavy Warrior of the Sun, there are more efficient builds for low SL coop, but if you want to feel like a real Sunlight Warrior, tossing lightning spears, and imbuing your blade with literally the power of the sun, this is for you.
Its a little more versatile than the basic build here, as always choice of weapon can be interchanged as well as choice of miracles. This build has an associated logic for picking a weapon that I will explain here, it allows for a bit of individual customization, depending on the players preferance.
Buff vs. Divine: Buff will always yeild a Higher AR with the stats used here, yet sunlight blade has a single charge, meaning that the buff is more or less a burst damage option, useful in a boss fight, but in the case of a coop partner wanting more exploration, would leave one at a disadvantage. There are some Divine path weapons, that scale well in this build, close enough to only make the AR a difference of about 130~ (sounds like a lot, but compaired to other weapons, is a very close margin), these weapons are of two distinct classes, the Greatswords and the Halberds. This is where you must ask yourself a question, am I going to be doing ALL of blighttown, or am I gonna be summoned at the boss fog.
Other Miracle/weapon selections that'd work well with this build:
Divine Claymore/Bastard Sword +10
Divine Halberd/Lucerne/Scythe +10
Any reg path weapon that attacks fast will get the most out of Sunlight blade, so Daggers, piercing swords, and spears
If you take a Divine weapon for extended exploration, think of replacing Sunlight blade with:
Wrath of the Gods
Great Magic Barrier
The SL is optimized for Really Parish/Lower Burg/Deeproot, maybe Blighttown, but its scaleable for higher level coop if that's your jam. I'd push for 50 faith for sunlight spear, and then soft cap End/Vit. After that, its up to your choice of weapon
