A squishy dex/faith build for just playing through the game. Keep at range to avoid enemies and pick them of with the bow. Switch from comp to black bow and DWG to Hawk ring for v far range. Use whatever dex weap you want, i picked Ricard's because of the r2-r2 combo. For bosses, use dmb and spam/combo the hell out of 'em. For regular enemies, use the Avelyn, it'll make v short work of 'em. For early game, just use whatever options are available, like a scimitar, a longbow, a light crossbow and resins instead of a talisman, (since you don't have DMB yet) All of these can be gotten before you even get to Havel. You will need to PvP to get DMB, so de-equip DWG and make sure you aren't using a falchion first. I also recommend ditching the bow for PvP and using it's slot for a parry tool or shield, as you will spend a lot of time in darkened Anor Londo while grinding for DMB, where it is difficult to aim.
