Use the 2-handed heavy attack and your immense poise to your advantage, demolishing people with a nice SLAM, shaking the foundations of whatever building you're in to the ground. Make sure that you use your buffs, as the DKGA has the unique ability (among dragon weapons, at least) to become even more powerful. Keep a good stock of ranged consumables to finish off foes and LOTS of repair powder for when you need it, which will be every five farts.
