Can use almost anything worthwhile as main weapon with room to spare for an offhand rapier. Claymore , kumo, greatsword, large club, chaos blade, uchi, iaito, zwei, pick your poison and have at you. Sub wolf for flip to reach 62 poise if you aren't comfortable toggle escaping. Can upgrade to elite Knight armor and eastern gauntlets if you prefer lighter weapons. No black flame because great combust after a kick is a combo, and unlocked fireballs catch people in the lava pools more than any spell not great combustion hehe.
