Gargoyle Tail Axes increase your poison resistance up to 352. Rusted Iron Ring allows you to keep out of range of slower hosts. Toss Dung Pies, Poison Throwing Knives, Lloyd's to keep them from chugging. Axes aren't all that great but can still do some damage. Your own poison resistance allows you to flit around in the muck in relative safety while your host is struggling and burning all his moss. The idea is to harass, not kill.
