Just level your faith the most and level health/endurance up as secondary. Level attunement when you find new miracles and level your strength/dexterity to 16/14 when you want to use a weapon that requires that (which will be early).

The Heater Shield is given to the Warrior class at the beginning of the game. It can also be purchased from the Undead Male Merchant for 1,000 souls.
CROWN OF THE DARK SUN (CROWN OF DUSK FOR GLASS CANON)
Sold by Domhnall of Zena for 10,000 souls after defeating Dark Sun Gwyndolin.
(DUSK: The Crown of Dusk is only obtainable after talking to Dusk of Oolacile. It is found on a corpse in Darkroot Basin, near where the Golden Crystal Golem spawns, along with the rest of the Antiquated Set.)
