If they are shield poking, use the iron round shield,and when their poke hits it and gets deflected, run behind them while they are in stagger and backstab them for major damage. If they're just turtling, 2 hand the shotel and spam r2.
When you r2 a couple times,the shield-wielder tends to try to strafe around for a backstab. Counter strafe and backstab them.
