In the PvE aspect, this build is pretty useful to most of the enemies, especially you have pyromancy flame plus a good-reaching katana. This build has carried a hornet ring for extra damage in backstabbing or riposting, thus using this low-weight dark hand for defense usage, you can make the fight cool.
On the other hand, which is the PvP aspect. This build is even stronger than PvE, the main strategy is parrying opponents. If they stay away from you, you can just throw pyromancy spells at them, making them force to combat in close distance, and you can catch the timing of parry and deal high critical damage.
