A magic/bow build lacking a proper melee weapon. The pierce shield will be an unexpected melee attack to anyone who gets too close. Sorcery spells could be switched out for pure utility or damage.
It should be effectinve in PvP regardless, if someone wants to give it a try. Every build I've made for myself has worked out just fine so far at least.
